SHRIMP PRAWNS![]() This is an easy and elegant dish - while also not being super expensive (seafood-wise)!! Giant Shrimp Prawns with Black
Forbidden Rice: Ingredients: - 6 Giant Shrimp Prawns - 1 cup Black Forbidden Rice - 1/2 stick non-salted butter - 1 lemon sliced into wedges - KROSSED KEYS Sea Salt Directions: I never follow the rice instructions when making Black Forbbiden Rice...it never cooks "right." I always make the rice the "old fashion" way: toss 2 cups of water, a drizzle of olive oil and a teaspoon of KROSSED KEYS into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Once the water boils then add your cup of Forbidden Rice. Cover and cook on low until the rice is tender (about 20-25 minutes). This rice is always tricky and sometimes needs an extra drizzle of water. In a small sauce pan, melt your un-salted butter and add KROSSED KEYS for flavoring. Set the burner on low to keep the butter warm and liquefied. Once the rice is nearly done, steam your shrimp prawns. Seafood is very easy to cook - the worst thing that can happen to delicious seafood is overcooking it! So steaming these beautiful prawns should be QUICK! Bring a pot of water to boil and toss in the prawns. They should be ready in just two to three minutes. As soon as their color is bright pink - pluck them out! Serve a scoop of Forbidden Rice into a deep bowl, then place a few of the prawns over the rice. Finish with a generous drizzle of the KROSSED KEYS butter over the top of the delicious heap! Then garnish with lemon and serve! Fantastic and fancy! |
